A few of us from the office went to see Sex and the City 2 last night, and absolutely loved it! It was full of laughs from start to finish, but also had so many relatable bits in it regards relationships, marriage, men,sex, the lot.

Of course the fashion was also great, and most of us agreed that Carrie and gang still looked fab. Though you could tell that they had all aged, they were still glamorous, and that I think is the point – they believe in themselves enough to feel that they deserve to look good. 

What’s interesting is that they all seem to know how to make the most of their good points. The rule is that you should only show off a part of your body as you get older if it is actually good enough to show off.

Often it’s not that easy to find clothes that flatter, particularly as you get older. Placing more emphasis on fit and quality matters more as you get older, as you simply can’t just pick up a skirt and t-shirt from Primark, and look fabulous as you did when you were younger.

The more expensive the clothes, the better they fit in general, though of course we have to temper that with the fact that most of us can’t afford huge price tags. Settling for a middle price is a good idea, and this is what we try to achieve when we are buying clothes for Havana.

 We are always on the look out for clothes which nod to the current trends, because we like to feel young, but which fit well, because none of us here are getting any younger. For example, we never buy clothes which are too short, or bust lines that are extremely low. Hope this helps, as we are real women buying clothes for the shop and for the website.
